The final card arrived a month ago! I apologize for posting this so late. Similar to last year, I felt pretty loved over the holiday season and was impressed with everyone’s mad card making skills. This year Chris and I hung a string with two separate sections to make sure all of the cards would fit. Without further ado, here are the 2013 cards in the order I received them (if I can remember correctly):

Instead of doing our usual trip to San Diego this year, Chris and I flew up the coast to visit some of our favorite people: Laura, Sean, and Findlay! The weather this trip was fantastic. It didn’t rain a single drop, blue skies and warm sun the entire trip – I got to wear shorts! The great weather allowed us to explore the city by foot and helped us not feel so bad for eating like pigs.

Hello dear readers. I’ve had a special request to share some DIY beauty tips, so I wanted to take that opportunity to share my journey of mind, hair, and skin.

For this craft project, I put together a care package for my long-time BFF who is completing her law degree and graduating in May. Law school isn’t an easy road, so I sent along some treats to help her through finals week. A big jar full of homemade chocolate chip cookies and a box of local tea sachets should do the trick.
When you’re far from friends who you still retain a deep friendship with, you don’t really need constant reminders of how special your friendship is, but it never hurts to sometimes show it. ;)

I’m a quarter of a century old. To celebrate this monumental occasion Chris and I visited Laura, Sean, and Findlay in Portland! In our short time there a few things became abundantly clear. Portland is covered in moss, full of biscuits, and has a 99% chance of rain at any given time.

On Friday, March 10th Laura and Sean picked us up at the airport and we were off to brunch at The Woodsman.
Come one, come all – it’s a new year and time for another craft swap! I’m sure everyone is working hard at their resolutions, so this craft swap will be a simple but goodie. Inspired by the 2000 classic movie, Pay It Forward, for this craft swap we will be doing and documenting a good deed.
XC Craft Swap VI
Theme: Pay It Forward
Rules: At some point in February through the end of March, you will do a good, selfless deed for someone. You can make them something, do something with them, or do something for them. It can be someone you know or someone you haven’t met yet. All that’s required is that the person you choose is NOT involved with this craft swap, documentation of the deed, and -for a twist- this act of kindness should come as a surprise to the recipient. Even though a story is all that’s required, it would be even better if you shared pictures as well.
If you’re interested please write your name below before January 31st. The swap begins on February 1st. Please send me or post your own stories and pictures before March 31st.

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 4,700 times in 2011. If it were a NYC subway train, it would take about 4 trips to carry that many people.
