A little JS and some PNG Sprites goes a long way! Thanks everyone for the awesome photos.
Oh you guys. I love you so much. hahahah :)
That was so much fun, great idea. Golly is so cute!
Thats amazing! haha
The following message is from Tina! I just copied and pasted it here from her blog, so feel free to check out the original. – Linzi
I recently participated in a craft swap where (bear with the complicated description):
So first, here is my triptych of Golly, my service puppy in training. I call it SML, the darn puppy just keeps getting bigger.
Tina I love the torn edges and how you combined them to keep the feeling of the original. Golly is adorable and she really has grown so much from the original picture Linzi past on to me. How long do you get to enjoy her before she goes into intense training?
Hi Sue, I loved how your picture turned out too.
I have Golly for a year and a half, so lots more time with her as she continues into XL and XXL land…

cute!!
Super cute! I like how both sets have the same tone. :3
How cute is that puppy. Love the textures on the other two.
For tonight’s Game Night I tested out my mom’s craft swap recipe using Sabrina’s adjustments (and went a little ‘food network’ with the chocolate drizzle). It was a great success!

Hope they tasted as good as they looked!
Since the big craft swaps tend to take a lot of time, I’m here to introduce a smaller craft swap. (I’m hoping that we can alternate between small and big swaps so we can fit more of them into a year.) This swap is fairly simple and easy to do – take 3 pictures!
XC Craft Swap IV
Theme: Photography
Rules: If you sign up – you’ll be assigned three people. You will take 3 photos and send them separately to those 3 people (1 photo per person). You can take the photos using whatever photographic process you’d like, send them in whatever medium you like (printed, digital – so on), at whatever size you want. The world is your photographic oyster. After you send out your 3 images, you will receive 3 images from 3 different people and with then you’ll create your own triptych. You can arrange them however you like, in whatever medium you like, and then post that final product on this wonderful blog.
If you’re interested please write your name below before July 31st. The swap begins on August 1st, when you’ll be given your swap recipients. Photos are due to your recipients by August 31st and your triptych should be posted on the blog by September 30th.
Happy Crafting!

OK, I’ll give it one more try!

The following pictures are from Tori Main! She received a recipe coloring book “my first potaco” written and illustrated by Sam Brenner. – Linzi
So cute! I really like your rendering of a calzone… at first I thought it was a fried mozzarella stick which got me really excited, but calzone is just as good.
I’ll try your recipe some day when I’m feeling American.
I love the coloring book, what a great idea. I can’t wait to make potacos for my friends that don’t really care for Mexican food….everyone likes potatoes!
Hello! For my craft I received these lovely tablecloths/serviettes from Sabrina –
Emblazoned with two fine fruits – the tomato and the eggplant. Included were two recipes – one for stuffed eggplant and the other for eggplant pie – which I haven’t gotten around to making yet, but when I do, I imagine it will look something like this:
Thanks Sabrina!
Awwww! So cute! :D
The following message is from Jamie Kosoy! – Linzi
For my craft Laura sent me handed painted mason jars for making ice cream, along with a super delicious lemon basil ice cream recipe. Here is a photo of the jars:
I can’t wait to try this out! My mom and I were talking about it this weekend. :)
So great!! I am interested to try it as a yogurt now, and definitely interested in getting an ice cream ball :)
This is the recipe for the Limoncello Tartufo that I made for Laura! Limoncello Tartufo is my favorite dessert that I used to get at Bertucci’s a long time ago. A tartufo is traditionally a vanilla ice cream ball with a filled center, usually a cherry or some nuts, rolled in chocolate shavings. A limoncello tartufo, at least from what I can remember, is a lemon ice cream ball with a lemon custard center rolled in meringue sprinkles. Bertucci’s stopped serving it and I can’t find it anywhere, so I decided to try to make it myself. I found a recipe to make a chocolate cherry tartufo online, but no limoncello – so, with my basic knowledge of a tartufo, I improvised.
I constantly spent my half an hour to read this web site’s content all the time along with a mug of coffee.
My husband and I ate at Massimo’s in Walnut Creek last Saturday and I had the Lemon Tartufo for dessert. I have never had anything like it. It was so light and delicious. You might want to check it out. Your recipe sounds very similar in presentation.
I will definitely have to go there! I’ve been looking for it everywhere. Thanks!
